Coronavirus/COVID-19: Current information

In the current semester, we will continue to face a multitude of challenges due to the coronavirus pandemic. Together, we can turn this situation to our advantage and make a meaningful contribution to the success of the current generation of students and our university as a whole – and, above all, get ourselves safely through these challenging times.

Critical information in brief (as of 25 Nov 2021)

  • 2G for students – vaccinated or recovered: Only students providing proof that they are vaccinated or recovered are permitted to enter TUM buildings. For examinations, the "3G plus" rule will apply: This means that only students who can show proof that they have been vaccinated, have recovered or have tested negative with a PCR test no older than 48 hoursmay take part in in-person examinations.   • 3G Plus Rule for employees working on site – vaccinated, recovered or negative PCR test: Only employees providing proof that they are vaccinated, recovered, or have tested negative with a PCR-test have access to TUM buildings. More details for employees (in German)

  • Home office: As of 24.11.2021, the new catalog of measures in the Infection Protection Act (Infektionsschutzgesetz) in conjunction with the 15th Bavarian Ordinance on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (15. Bayerische Infektionsschutzmaßnahmenverordnung) applies. Unless there are compelling operational reasons not to do so, the option of working from home must be offered for office work or comparable activities. Employees are obligated to use the option to work from home unless there are compelling reasons for them not to do so.
