The EuroTech Rising Stars Award 2026 honors early-career researchers whose ideas and research provide important momentum for the future. The focus is on researchers whose work has the potential to generate scientific, technological, societal, or economic impact.
Award for Research and Innovation
The award is presented in two categories: Rising Research Stars, for researchers with outstanding scientific achievements and an excellent academic career, and Rising Innovation Stars, for researchers who successfully translate their research into innovations of societal or economic relevance.
International Stage for Emerging Talent
Beyond prize money, the award offers the opportunity to present one's own research to an international audience: the winners will show their work at the EuroTech Summit 2026 in Brussels and benefit from the visibility and networking opportunities within the EuroTech Universities Alliance.
The competition is aimed at promising early-career researchers at EuroTech partner universities who are setting new standards in research and innovation through their work and who want to actively help shape international exchange within the alliance.
Registration
The application deadline is September 25, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. CEST. Applications must be submitted in English. For more information on eligibility requirements and to apply: EuroTech Rising Stars Award
The EuroTech Universities Alliance is a strategic partnership of leading European universities for science and technology. It was founded in 2006 and has operated as an alliance based in Brussels since 2011.
Today, in addition to TUM, EuroTech comprises the following partners: the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris), Technion Israel Institute of Technology, and Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).
