Thanks and congratulations
President Prof. Thomas F. Hofmann congratulated his new colleague on the Executive Board: “My congratulations on this election go not only to Pascal Berberat, but to all of TUM. We could not have made a better choice to succeed our highly accomplished colleague Gerhard Müller. I am confident that Pascal Berberat will seize, with vision and wisdom, the enormous opportunities that are opening up for TUM in academic and student affairs at a time when artificial intelligence is advancing rapidly.”
Gerhard Müller had held the office since 2014, serving four terms. President Hofmann emphasized: “With forward-looking approaches, a heart for students’ concerns and remarkable warmth and approachability, Gerhard Müller, as Executive Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, has ushered TUM into a new era. Examples include the creation of a Teaching Constitution, forward-looking teaching reforms such as the introduction of Professional Profiles, project weeks and plug-in modules, the further development of the TUM: Junge Akademie, and the establishment of the EuroTeQ Engineering University. On behalf of the entire university community, I thank Gerhard Müller for his boundless commitment, which has made TUM a true magnet for ambitious young people.”
