Try out the Science Escape Room by TUM and e-conversion at the Deutsches Museum. Experience hands-on science and discover the latest research on the energy of the future from the e-conversion Cluster of Excellence through puzzles and experiments.
In the Escape Room, you will find yourself on the exoplanet Carbonia with an abandoned research station. All that remains is an empty laboratory, encrypted data, and unfinished experiments. To progress, you must crack the code and tackle key questions in energy research.
Good to know
- 3-6 players
- For adults, families, and teenagers (aged 12 and up)
- Younger children are welcome to puzzle along
- Duration: Approx. 45 mins.
- Admission to the escape room is included in the museum admission fee.

Escape from Carbonia is one of 10 projects from Germany that won the Science in Dialogue 2025 university competition, funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space in the Science Year 2025 - Future Energy.
