The TUM Center for Culture and Arts invites you to an exclusive guided tour of the exhibition “Hair – stories of power and passion” at Kunsthalle München. The tour will be led by Emilia Geist and offers unique insights into the diverse cultural, social, and political meanings of hair in art and history.
Thanks to our cultural partnership, students and staff of TUM can participate in this tour free of charge. Spaces are limited and divided into two quotas:

Please note: Registration is binding. If you are unable to attend after registering, please inform us as early as possible so that we can reassign your spot. The tour will be held predominantely in German.
Meeting point: 15 minutes before the tour begins on the 1st floor, to the right of the staircase. Afterwards, there is the opportunity to attend the AFTERWORK event.
About the exhibition
With “Hair – stories of power and passion,” Kunsthalle München presents a thematically curated, cross-cultural exhibition exploring the many meanings of head and body hair. Around 200 exhibits – from antiquity to the present day – are on display, including paintings, sculptures, photographs, video works, jewelry, furniture, design objects, and couture creations from major international collections such as the Prado, the Louvre, and the Rijksmuseum.
