After a gentle warm-up focused on body awareness, breathing, posture, and playful exploration of our joints, we shift our focus outward, take over the space, experiment with directions, planes, tempos, and pauses, and mindfully connect with our fellow dancers.

Using images to spark associations, letting the imagination run wild, allowing ourselves to be moved by feelings, thoughts, and ideas, following the music. This gives rise to new images, compositions, and sometimes even scenes – alone, in pairs, in trios, or with the whole group. In the process, we discover and deepen various qualities of movement, explore movement themes, communicate with one another, and create in the moment. The experience of dancing and watching can be an important part of this creative process. Inspiring others and being inspired by what we see.

  • Registration is required due to limited number of participants.
  • The event is free of charge.

TUM tanzt!

TUM tanzt! is an initiative of the TUM Center for Culture and Arts and the TUM School of Medicine and Health (Applied Sport Science) that brings dance to life in all its diversity. Through workshops, performances, and community projects, the platform creates a space for dance at the intersection of science, social participation, and holistic health promotion. The events invite participants not only to experience dance as spectators but also to get moving themselves. Together, we foster encounters, creativity, and reflection.
