Discover the world of Tango Argentino: In our introductory workshop with Cristian Taffarello and Isabella Schmitt you will get a first taste of tango – a fascinating part of Argentinian culture. You don't need a dance partner or any previous knowledge. Try out the basics, feel the music and experience what makes tango so special. Perhaps you will discover a new passion?

Afterward, we invite you to join us for a milonga – a traditional tango dance event where you can put what you’ve learned into practice, meet new people, and fully immerse yourself in the world of tango.

  • Registration is required due to limited number of participants.
  • The event is free of charge.

TUM tanzt!

TUM tanzt! is an initiative of the TUM Center for Culture and Arts and the TUM School of Medicine and Health (Applied Sport Science) that brings dance to life in all its diversity. Through workshops, performances, and community projects, the platform creates a space for dance at the intersection of science, social participation, and holistic health promotion. The events invite participants not only to experience dance as spectators but also to get moving themselves. Together, we foster encounters, creativity, and reflection.

A couple is dancing the tango with gusto at the Kunstareal Festival.
Dance, sound, research, and art – TUM is bringing new energy to the Kunstareal.
