World Patient Safety Day

To mark World Patient Safety Day on September 17, the TUM University Hospital German Heart Center is offering various activities and information on the topic of patient safety.

This year’s theme is “Safe care for chronically ill people.” The program provides information on various aspects of patient safety and shows how patients, family members, visitors, and staff can contribute to safe healthcare.

What can you expect on the action day?

• Hospital Pharmacy: Medication Safety
• Hospital Hygiene: Proper Hand Sanitization in the “Black Box” Under Black Light
• Central Clinical Training: Patient Room Simulation “Spot the Errors”
• Functional Diagnostics: Measurement of blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, and blood sugar to identify risk factors for cardiovascular diseases
• Quality Management: Patient safety measures, e.g., patient identification bracelets
• Peer support for mental health challenges: Employee safety is patient safety.
