- Academic Year
The academic year begins on October 1st of a given year and ends on September 30th of the following year. - Semester
The winter semester begins on October 1st and ends on March 31st. The summer semester begins on April 1st and ends on September 30th. - Lecture Period
The lecture period falls within the semester. In the winter semester lectures take place from approximately mid-October to mid-February, in the summer semester from mid-April to mid-July. Courses and examinations may take place on Saturday or during lecture-free periods, as necessary. For more information on specific examination periods, please contact your school or faculty.
