What does this program cover?
The Technische Universität München offers the opportunity to participate in a postgraduate program of Informatics. Prerequisite for the program is a finished degree of at least “good” in Mathematics, Physics, Electric Engineering, Business, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Surveying and Mapping, Brewing and Beverage Technology, or Food Technology. Other majors are also admissible, after an application has been submitted. Here, a good knowledge of Mathematics or Informatics is a vital requirement.

Which documents do I need to submit? (start of program in winter semester 2019/20)
- Online Application Print-out (signed)
- Degree Certificate and Diploma or Subject and Grade Transcript of Studies to Date (certified copy)
- Complete and Current Résumé (CV)
- Passport (copy)
- Most Current Photo (as for ID)
- Student Health Insurance Certificate
- Proof of German Language Proficiency (certified copy) - international applicants only
- Preliminary evaluation by uni-assist for graduate certificates (i.e. a bachelor's degree) obtained in a country outside of the EU/EEA
We may require additional documents depending on the type of educational background you earned and your country of origin (e.g. GRE, GATE, APS). After completing the online application process, you will receive a list of documents you must submit to TUM in hard copy by the application deadline.
What application deadlines do I need to meet? (start of program in winter semester 2019/20)
Application Period for the winter semester: 15.05. - 15.07.
An application for the summer semester ist only possible for higher upper division semesters. Application deadline is January 15.
