The finiteness of petroleum and fossil-based raw materials and structural changes towards a bioeconomy require the development of innovative biogenic materials. A particular challenge is combining the requirements regarding processability and high-performance properties with sustainability aspects.

The bachelor’s program in Bioinformatics is offered by the Technical University of Munich in partnership with Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich (LMU). The program combines informatics with molecular biology, biochemistry, and genetics.

The master’s program in Bioinformatics is offered by the Technical University of Munich in partnership with Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich (LMU). The program offers great freedom in terms of individual specialization within the discipline.

The Program Biomass Technology is a Joint Degree-Cooperation between TUM (leading university) and the university of soil cultivation in Vienna, BOKU. Sustainability is the main aspect of this program. Main focus of the lecture contents is the challenge to ensure life qualitiy for future generations.

The main focus of this interdisciplinary study program is the application of new research-driven natural and engineering principles and findings in both medicine and life sciences in order to develop new methods for prevention, diagnosis and therapy.

The Elite Master’s program Biomedical Neuroscience offers an excellent scientific training to get a top-level understanding of neuroscience theory and practice, as well as on neuro-psychiatric disorders. It fills the gap between standard medical education and natural science curricula.

The international Erasmus Mundus Master program in Cartography is a cooperation between the Technical University of Munich, Vienna University of Technology, TU Dresden and the University of Twente. The program is devoted to a broad education in cartography and geoinformatics.
