Accommodation is included in the program fee. Students are accommodated in shared bedrooms in a hostel or in single rooms at a student dorm. The following information relates to the size and furnishing of standard rooms in a hostel and the dorm, but please note that rooms might differ from these standards. Sorry, but a choice of rooms is not possible.

Facilities in the hostel

Participants of our Finding Nano Summer School and the Winter School will be accommodated in shared bedrooms at a hostel in the city center. You will share a room with other participants of the course only. Breakfast is included at the hostel. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms. Bed linen is available in every room, but towels are not provided. There is the possibility to rent a towel at the reception or you can bring your own. There is a washing machine and a dryer at the hostel. The community area also includes a guest kitchen, where you can prepare food or drinks. The Wi-Fi connection in the hostel is free of charge.

Facilities in the dorms

Participants of our Summer School in August will be accommodated in single rooms in student residences administered by Studentenwerk München, Munich‘s student union. In all rooms, you will either have your own kitchenette or a separate shared kitchen at your disposal. The rooms have either a small ensuite bathroom or a shared bathroom for several rooms. The rooms are furnished with a desk, chair, wardrobe and a single bed. A sleeping bag, a pillow and bed linen are provided. You will have to bring your own towel. Internet is included, but only available via LAN cable, so please bring your own. Breakfast is not included. You can have breakfast at the University cafeteria.

The hostel is located in the center of Munich. You can reach the university in less than 30 minutes by public transport. All student residences are well connected with the university via public transportation. They are all within a 30-60 minute ride with the subway (U-Bahn) or the suburban train (S-Bahn). For further information about student housing, please take a look at the student union's website.
