Based on your votes in the online voting, we now have the 13 photos for the Photo Calendar 2020 of the TUM International Center. The first prize goes to the photo "The Bund" by Konstantin Krämer.

Krämer is a student of Electrical Engineering in his 6th Master's semester, and he took the picture in Shanghai – in the course of a visit to China after his semester abroad at the NCTU in Taiwan. Early in the morning, Krämer was fascinated by the large puddle on the long promenade called "The Bund", with a reflection of the skyline of Shanghai. The woman with the suitcase came along by chance –fortunately for his photo.

The best moment of your stay abroad

The photo competition of the TUM International Center will now take place every month. The overarching theme remains: "The best moment of your stay abroad".

The motifs should reflect special moments that enriched your stay abroad – for example, an encounter that you might not have had in your home town, or maybe technical or cultural peculiarities of the country you visited.
As usual, all students and employees of TUM are allowed to participate. Entries of foreign students and researchers are always welcome.

Prizes and social media

Participation is worthwhile: the winners can look forward to great coupons, e.g. for outdoor clothing or for a photo shop. The winning pictures will also be published via TUM's social media channels. Just send us your favorite pictures by e-mail: fotowettbewerb(at)
