The entrepreneurial journey is shrouded in uncertainty. To deal with this challenge, successful entrepreneurs tend to rely on specific thinking styles that distinguish them from managers of established organizations. Specifically, while managers are typically bound by their goals, entrepreneurs are rather bound by their means and need to combine these means in flexible ways. In this workshop, you will get insights into this thinking style which is often referred to as “effectuation.” You can experiment with a managerial and an entrepreneurial thinking style in a fun competition between the participants. Moreover, you will learn from many inspiring examples of entrepreneurial thinkers and how they have developed successful firms.
