Established in 2012, TUM ERI is one of the leading institutes dedicated to entrepreneurial research in Europe. At the institute four professors and more than 20 academics at post-doctoral and doctoral levels take an interdisciplinary approach to study entrepreneurship, covering all aspects of the entrepreneurial journey. Our goal is to improve our understanding of entrepreneurial individuals and organizations.

Impact for Future is a unique, interdisciplinary and cross-university project that brings together students and faculty from all disciplines to embed impact orientation and sustainability in university teaching.
We are Innovis VC - Europe’s largest student-led Venture Capital organisation, with Hubs in Amsterdam, Berlin, Istanbul, London, Madrid, Milan, Munich, St. Gallen, and Warsaw. We operate at the intersection of students, startups, and investors, where we connect, empower, and educate. Our distributed model removes geographical barriers and brings together hundreds of students across Europe, helping them take their first step into the tech ecosystem.
Seit 2004 zielt das Manage&More Programm des UnternehmerTUM darauf ab, unternehmerische Talente für ihre berufliche Laufbahn zu qualifizieren. Für dieses 18-monatige Programm werden jedes Semester 20 besonders motivierte Studierende aller Münchner Universitäten ausgewählt. Durch innovative Projektarbeit, Workshops, Coachings und Mentoring entwickeln sich die Stipendiaten auf persönlicher und fachlicher Ebene, um zukünftige Aufgaben als Gründer oder Führungskräfte zu übernehmen. Ein Schwerpunkt des Programms ist die Planung und Durchführung von Innovationsprojekten mit anerkannten Industriepartnern und die Entwicklung von High-Tech-Lösungen in enger Zusammenarbeit mit der Forschung. Die Studierenden bilden ein starkes Netzwerk von talentierten jungen Menschen, die in interdisziplinären Teams arbeiten. Gastgeber des Programms ist das UnternehmerTUM, das Zentrum für Innovation und Unternehmensgründung an der Technischen Universität München (TUM).
START Munich ist eine studentische Initiative der TU München, die seit 2003 die größten angehenden Gründertalente aus München vernetzt. START vernetzt eine neue Generation von Unternehmern und Unternehmerinnen und bietet einen aktiven Zugang zur Startup-Welt. Seit der Gründung 2003 waren über 250 Mitglieder im Verein aktiv und haben erfolgreiche Startups wie Freeletics, Bits & Pretzels, Unu oder Trade Republic gegründet.
THINK. MAKE. START. is a two week course hosted by different labs at TUM and UnternehmerTUM GmbH, designed to foster innovation giving students the chance to work on real world problems, exploring the potential of new technologies or challenges by developing new solutions.
In the Masterclass, outstanding entrepreneurial TUM students from all disciplines dedicate their master thesis to what they are truly passionate about. While graduating with an excellent academic work, they pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions and create a direct positive impact for society. They formally remain based at their own faculty or school and obtain the corresponding master's degree.
During the six-month programme, participants are in close exchange with each other, shape the lively community themselves and are actively supported in their individual aspirations. The scientific and methodological supervision and support of entrepreneurial endeavors is ensured by a management team of doctoral researchers at TUM.
TUM ForTe Patente und Lizenzen ist Ihr Ansprechpartner für alle Fragen und Vorgänge im Zusammenhang mit geistigem Eigentum (Intellectual Property, IP), betreut Patentprozesse, managt das IP-Portfolio der TUM und ist für die Verhandlung von IP-Regelungen im Namen der TUM verantwortlich.
Die Gründungsberatung der TUM unterstützt Studierende, Mitarbeitende, Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler sowie Alumni der Universität auf dem Weg zur Gründung innovativer Unternehmen in allen wichtigen Phasen – von der Ideen- und Konzeptvalidierung über die Marktevaluation und Erstellung eines Geschäftsmodells bis hin zur Beantragung von Fördergeldern.
