Senior Vice President Talent Management and Diversity: Claudia Peus
Prof. Dr. Claudia Peus has been professor for Research and Science Management at TUM since 2011. In 2014 she became Vice Dean for Executive Education at the TUM School of Management, covering continuing education MBA programs. Peus researches and teaches HR management and leadership with a focus on scientific institutions. She has gained international academic experience at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University.
Senior Vice President International Alliances and Alumni: Juliane Winkelmann
Prof. Dr. Juliane Winkelmann has started her career at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry. She was appointed to the Chair of Neurogenetics in 2015, before which she was a professor at Stanford University. Winkelmann investigates the genetic architecture of neurological disorders, with a focus on movement and sleep disorders. The objective of her work is to pave the way for medicine tailored to the individual patient.
Senior Vice President Academic and Student Affairs: Gerhard Müller
As a vice president, Prof. Dr. Gerhard Müller has significantly advanced modernization of teaching methods and improvement of study conditions and has driven quality management in teaching since 2014. Furthermore, he is a longtime active member of several engineering science associations. Müller has been full professor for Structural Mechanics since 2004. Before that the expert in structural dynamics and vibroacoustics worked at a renowned engineering firm.
Senior Vice President IT systems and services (CIO): Hans Pongratz
Since 2011 Dipl.-Inf. Hans Pongratz has been in charge of the outstanding IT infrastructure at TUM which makes digital research, teaching and administration possible in the first place. He has been involved in university politics already as student and as research assistant, including a post in the TUM Senate. Before joining TUM, the computer scientist worked in industry and as an independent IT developer.
TUM Board of Trustees:
The TUM Board of Trustees is TUM's central supervisory body. It consists of the ten university-internal elected members of the TUM Senate and ten external prominent leaders from science, culture, business and politics. The chair of the Board of Trustees is the President of the Helmholtz Association, Prof. Otmar Wiestler.
