Student Service Center (SSZ)

Offering a wide range of services to TUM students and prospective students, the Student Service Center (SSZ) provides all-round support and assistance in addition to managing administrative documents and academic records throughout your studies, up to and including graduation.

The SSZ service system

The first point of contact for students as well as prospective students is the Hotline. The Hotline staff, consisting mostly of TUM students, will answer your phone calls and e-mails and, if necessary, forward your questions to the appropriate administrative office, central institution, and/or school or college.

For personal inquiries, a Service Desk has been set up at the TUM Downtown campus. Here, Student Admission and Student Advising staff are available to answer your questions in person.

At the Semester Fees and Scholarships Office and Examination Office, walk-in hours have been scheduled to give you ready access to an advisor; for brief consultations, no appointment is necessary.

You can submit feedback and suggestions concerning student matters to Feedback Management round the clock via an online form.

The SSZ administrative units

The SSZ comprises five administrative units that manage and offer support for core administrative matters relating to the "student life cycle" from fielding inquiries from prospective students, through handling applications for admission and scholarships, to issuing graduation documents.

The TUM General Student Advising supports prospective students in determining the course of study best suited to their needs and wishes. In addition, we support current students in dealing with the various challenges of their study.
