Worum geht es in diesem Studiengang?

GIST’s Master of Science in Rail, Transport and Logistic equips students with the academic proficiency and hands-on training to understand the challenges and the knowledge know-how required for developing solutions associated with logistics and transport processes. Students will develop in-depth understanding in the areas of transportation and logistics management. The Master’s degree is awarded by Technische Universität München in Germany.

The master program aims to cover all the facets of transport and logistics in order to provide students with a general but integrated approach. It encompasses aspects from demand management, transport planning and infrastructure design to transport management. The three focus areas transportation, logistics and railway engineering are designed to cover the most important aspects of the complex and diverse challenges in the field of transportation and logistics.

Wie ist das Studium aufgebaut?

The compulsory study location of the first two semesters is Singapore. Students who have chosen to specialize in Railway Engineering are required to move to Munich in the third semester in order to attend courses at the faculty of Civil, Geo and Environmental Engineering at TUM in Munich. Students on both the logistics and transportation specialization track can study one semester in Munich on a voluntary basis.

Each module is conducted in a block structure, since TUM Asia is working with the system of a flying faculty. This means that academics come to TUM Asia for some weeks to teach. Therefore, the studies are organized in a block structure: one module is taught for consecutive determined number of days. After one module has been completed with the final examination, the next module is starting respectively.
