TedxTUM: Pushing Boundaries

Entrepreneurship-News

Pushing boundaries
The limits to what is possible can not only be found at the edge of science and technology, but also in the more intangible fields of the mind, and in the exploration of what it means to be human.Pushing boundaries is about challenging the preconceptions we hold, to discover new ideas that are truly worth spreading.

TEDxTUM

TUM is one of Europe’s leading technical universities, and home to a diverse set of brilliant students and researchers. TEDxTUM aims at uniting the spirits of TED and TUM by joining innovation and creativity with technical know-how and cutting edge technology.

Location and Venue
The event takes place in the Immatrikulationshalle, directly on the main campus of the Technical University of Munich.
This is the very first TEDxTUM, and together we will take the first step on an interesting journey to challenge ourselves and keep on pushing boundaries.

About TED
TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a conference in California 30 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with many initiatives.
At a TED conference, the world’s leading thinkers and doers are asked to give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes or less. TED speakers have included Roger Ebert, Sheryl Sandberg, Bill Gates, Elizabeth Gilbert, Benoit Mandelbrot, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Brian Greene, Isabel Allende and former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Three major TED events are held each year: The TED Conference takes place every spring in Vancouver, Canada, simultaneous with TEDActive, in Whistler, BC; and the TEDGlobal Conference takes place each summer in Edinburgh, Scotland.
