Which universities prepare their students best for working with digital technologies? Who is producing the future digital leaders in big companies and start-ups?

To find out, the consultancy Emerging looked at the university degrees of 150,000 digital professionals with the world’s most innovative companies. It also asked 3500 experts working in the IT industry and other digital sectors as well as start-up founders for their views on the best degree programs.

TUM moved up six positions compared with the previous year’s rankings and is now number five in the Digital Leaders in Higher Education rankings. As a result, it placed in the top quintet alongside the US and British universities Harvard, Cambridge, MIT and Oxford.

TUM ranks fourth in three fields:

  • Computer Science
  • Digital Transformation Management
  • Digital Entrepreneurship

Other respected rankings also confirm that TUM provides its students with ideal preparation for the career world. In the Global University Employability Ranking, which surveys around 11,000 managers in more than 20 countries, TUM holds the 13th position. And in the CHE University Rankings, students regularly award excellent ratings to TUM in study conditions and courses offered.
