ScienceManagement@TUM is your platform for further qualification, exchange, and networking, exclusively for all science managers at TUM.
As science manager, you make a significant contribution to achieving top performances in research and teaching at TUM. You take on essential interdisciplinary management and leadership tasks in schools and research centers, as well as in central and university departments and are responsible for impactful co-creation and content design processes.
ScienceManagement@TUM aims to support you effectively and sustainably in your management and leadership role, to strengthen your self-efficacy as a science manager, to empower you both professionally and personally, and to foster a collective professionalization of science management at TUM.
For me, the ScienceManagement@TUM offer includes a network that promotes sustainable science management at TUM: The exchange of experience in the shared community of practice not only makes my daily tasks easier but also enables me to integrate continuous learning and training into my everyday work.
For my team and me, ScienceManagement@TUM is the main platform for staff training at TUM. As a community of practice, we live open exchange, learn from and with each other, and practice the change of perspective, which is very central in our field of work, in which we promote international networks and intercultural exchange.
Deputy Director & Lead, Global Engagement
As a rapidly growing integrative robotics institute at TUM, we need highly qualified personnel. The competition in times of a shortage of skilled workers is fierce. In addition to the motivating work in a team and the broad spectrum of tasks, we successfully put ScienceManagement@TUM in the balance: the Community of Practice for science managers often tips the scales – this is how we can attract and retain new colleagues in science management!
Managing Director Munich Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence (MIRMI)
Through exchange and networking with your colleagues, you generate new ideas and create synergies at TUM, thereby making a significant contribution to further professionalizing science management at TUM. In addition, within the framework of the joint Community of Practice, you have the opportunity to develop concrete solutions to everyday challenges and problems with your colleagues and to optimize processes through the joint development of TUM-wide standards.
