Current: The "Street Experiments for Sustainable and Resilient cities" is a unique course which focuses on neighborhood livability by letting you design, implement and evaluate your own unique ideas for pubic space distribution.

Bronze Medal for Best Online Program 2021 at Wharton-QS @Reimagine Education Awards Conference

We are delighted to announce that the TUM Lean Six Sigma Green Belt program has won its 3rd award in 2021 alone!

The professional program we offer in cooperation with the #digitallearning platform @edX has been awarded the Bronze Medal for Best Online Program 2021 at the Wharton-QS @Reimagine Education Awards Conference . The panel of 300 independent judges from 45 countries, recognized the program among 1,100+ applications because of its global reach, accessibility, and initiative for the @United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Coursera and edX supporting the LifeLong Learning experience

Future learners who want to explore the different offers, as the Coursera Partner Consortium Program or the edX Online Campus Essentials Program, have to be given access to the list of courses which are available for free.

What are the next steps?

  • Contact moocspam prevention@lll.tum.de with the number of access seats you would like for your project teams and/or your students. Please also include: Full name, TUM email address, matriculation number and name of the enrolled program at TUM (only for students).

  • You will receive an invitation to join the program by email.

  • After successful completion of the courses/programs you can also get the certificate of completion for free.

Is there a deadline?
Coursera’s initiative has no anticipated end date so far. On the other hand, edX’s offer will be available until June 30th 2024.

Thinking Six Sigma & Lean: Infineon Blended Belt Certification

Infineon and the Technical University of Munich have developed a unique blended Six Sigma and Lean training for Infineon Production sites worldwide. Infineon employees master Six Sigma and Lean theory with the TUM Massive Open Online Professional Program offered on the edX MOOC platform. Working at their own pace and independently, Infineon Green Belt candidates cover all phases of the process improvement Six Sigma DMAIC cycle and Lean Production online and are then prepared to start a Green Belt project on site. The program started in October 2020 and is now rolled out in 5 countries.

Honorable Mention on the 2021 International E-Learning Awards

Infineon Technologies and the Technical University of Munich have developed a unique blended Six Sigma and Lean training for Infineon Production sites worldwide. Infineon employees master Six Sigma and Lean theory with the TUM Massive Open Online Professional Program, Lean Six Sigma, offered on the edX MOOC platform. Today, our blended corporate program received a Honorable Mention Award in the Blended Learning category of the 2021 International E-Learning Awards, given by the International E-Learning Association (IELA)!

Runner-Up Award 2021 der International E-Learning Association (IELA)

Our Lean Six Sigma MOOCs have received the third award, for the course: "Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate". We are very happy to receive this silver medal in the category: Blended Learning - Academic Division. For this Lean Six Sigma certificate we offer three paths: For corporate employees with the implementation of an individual business project, for students and job seekers with the implementation of our standard predefined pollution project. The third path is through our Go Green Belt Award, for which our certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belts can apply with an outstanding project idea on one of the 17 United Nations Sustainability Goals. This allows three Yellow Belts with the best project ideas each year to earn our Green Belt certificate at no cost. - All three paths are structured through learning materials, individual coaching, open lectures, and five reviews of the project documentation. 

German-French Academy for the Industry of the Future

The French and German Ministries for Research and Education via ANR (French National Research Agency) and DLR-PT (DLR Project Management Agency) announced on October 23rd, 2020 a Joint Call for Proposals on Artificial Intelligence dedicated to the funding of German-French Cooperation. The Academy wishes to encourage collaboration between academic and industrial experts in order to initiate highly promising AI research projects in the framework of this call.
