How to Find Accommodation
It’s not easy to find a place to live in Munich – but it’s not impossible either! The Technical University of Munich (TUM) supports students and staff in their search for accommodation, providing personal advice, in-house listings and useful information to ensure that you can quickly find a place to call your own.
Beware of scam
Do not transfer money without signing the contract and having seen the apartment. Otherwise, you risk losing your money.
We do not recommend sending your ID documents before verifying the property to avoid identity theft.
Always make sure to sign the rental contract.
Please take this warning seriously. Unfortunately, despite this warning, students are being scammed every semester.
Have you been actively searching for several weeks without success? Do you have any specific questions concerning your accommodation search?
If so, register for a Zoom consultation with a TUM Living Team member.

We will be with you as soon as possible. We are processing the requests chronologically based on who joined the meeting first. Please note that it might take some time before you can enter the Zoom consultation.
IMPORTANT: If you are just trying to get information about finding accommodation, please do not schedule a Zoom appointment here. Instead, send us an email at tumliving@tum.de. We will then send you practical tips and additional links.
Please do not register for more than one session, and do not share your Zoom link with another person.
If you cannot attend, please cancel your appointment or let us know ahead, so that someone else can get the chance to book the slot.
Registration is no longer possible as soon as all time slots are fully booked.
