TUM Sustainability Day
October 27, 2022

Get inspired. Network and get involved. Together, we will set out on the path towards a more sustainable university.

Key Visual Sustainability Day

Whether in research, teaching or entrepreneurship, there were many sustainability topics to discover at TUM's first Sustainability Day. We invited students, employees, alumni and anyone who wanted to learn more about sustainability at TUM to network and get involved at events at all of the university's locations.

The Sustainability Day accompanies TUM's transformation into a more sustainable university. On this day, the TUM Sustainable Futures Strategy 2030 has been presented publicly for the first time. It charts our common path to a sustainable future - with specific and tangible measures.

TUM Sustainable Futures Strategy 2030

Opening Event: The TUM Sustainability Journey

What skills do our students, employees and alumni need to be effective in shaping our future in a sustainable way?
How can scientific solutions, scalable innovations and new economic models make our world more sustainable?
Moreover, how can we make TUM a role model for sustainable development with responsible campus operations and resource management?

We discussed these questions about the future with high-profile guests at our central opening event. It was the starting signal for our TUM Sustainable Futures Strategy 2030, with which we want to make "our TUM" the catalyst for the enormous changes that lie ahead for sustainable development, taking into account ecological limits, economic durability and social justice.
