Is science a public activity? What does it mean for science to be public? Who can and should be involved, for what purposes, and under which conditions? The Public Science Lab is an experimental research infrastructure that explores different ways to open science to broader publics.
The launch event will highlight the four facets of the Public Science Lab: initiatives in Research, Teaching, Art-Science, and Policy. We invite you to join us in conversation and collaborative thinking. There will be an introduction to the lab, discussion around core themes, and a range of exhibition stands for related projects. The Public Science Lab is an experimental research infrastructure based at the TUM School of Social Sciences and Technology (SOT) that explores different ways to open science to broader publics. We aim to transform scientific methodologies by making them more inclusive, responsive to social needs, and responsible to future generations. The PSL is committed to democratic modes of inquiry that reflect diverse perspectives and lived experiences.
