TUM Sustainability Day – we walk the talk

Get active yourself on June 12 2024, be inspired and network. The Sustainability Day is for everyone: students, professors and staff. Only together can we shape the sustainable development of our university.

Our Sustainability Day at the Research Campus Garching – conceived as a "Sustainability Festival" – is designed to inform, inspire and entertain.

  • Market of opportunities: On June 12 2024, the Magistrale of the Mechanical Engineering building in Garching will be transformed into a sustainability fair. You can exhibit your ideas and projects on the topic of sustainability at your own stand.

  • Impetus for sustainability: organize an exciting workshop, share your expertise in an inspiring lecture or present an interactive session. There are no limits to your creativity in terms of content and format. Of course, you can also involve external partners here.

Preliminary program June 12

  • 11.00-6.00 pm: Market of opportunities
Sustainability fair with projects and ideas
  • 12.30-1.30 pm: Making Future - How?
Central event with President Prof. Thomas F. Hofmann
  • 2.00 pm-9.00 pm: Impulse for sustainability
Workshops, lectures, guided tours, open labs and much more

Whether in research, teaching or entrepreneurship, there were many sustainability topics to discover at TUM's first Sustainability Day. We invited students, employees, alumni and anyone who wanted to learn more about sustainability at TUM to network and get involved at events at all of the university's locations.

The Sustainability Day accompanies TUM's transformation into a more sustainable university. On this day, the TUM Sustainable Futures Strategy 2030 has been presented publicly for the first time. It charts our common path to a sustainable future - with specific and tangible measures.
