At the initiative of the Dieter Schwarz Stiftung, a German non-profit organization, the Technical Universtity of Munich (TUM) and the TUM School of Management will get involved in the Bildungscampus Heilbronn. In establishing the new campus and cooperating with the numerous “hidden champions” of the technology-intensive Heilbronn-Franconia economic region , TUM wants to set an internationally visible signal. The German Graduate School of Management and Law (GGS), which is located on the Bildungscampus Heilbronn, is to be integrated into the new TUM campus in a suitable manner.

The Dieter Schwarz Stiftung has made the decision to permanently finance, among others, 20 new professorships at TUM, 13 of which will be based in Heilbronn. This will benefit companies in one of Germany's strongest economic regions, whose future employees get the chance to study at one of Germany's top universities. The Heilbronn area's economic power also benefits neighboring Bavarian Franconia. It is home to numerous notable companies and market leaders from several high-tech industries.
