03 19/20: Buildings closed due to power shutdown

Parts of TUM main campus inaccessible over the weekend

Several buildings on TUM's downtown campus in the Arcisstraße may not be entered over the weekend of March 19 and 20. The main building, including the library, is among those affected. This is due to maintenance work which requires the electricity to be shut off.

On March 19 and 20 the part of the Munich campus between Arcisstraße and courtyard remains closed, i.e. buildings 0501, 0502, 0507 and 0510.

This means that also the library in the main building is inaccessible. Due to the power shutdown, some online services will be unavailable starting 4 p.m. on March 18.

TUM administration requests staff to shut down all servers and IT equipment in the affected buildings before the weekend.

Maintenance work on transformer stations requires the power to be shut off. For safety reasons, the buildings may therefore not be entered
