Start of the semester 2020/21

Protective measures, contact data collection, and Digital Learning Commitment

The winter semester 2020/21 has begun – and, due to the pandemic, we will continue to be faced with major challenges. In order to get through this difficult phase as unscathed as possible, we will have to stand together.

On-campus protective hygiene measures

In order to make studying at TUM as safe as possible during the winter semester, we have developed a hygiene concept. We compiled the most important hygiene rules for students on our website and in an explanatory video. The following always applies: In order to protect yourself an others, wear a mask and keep your distance!

Mandatory contact data collection

In order to be able to trace chains of infection quickly and effectively, TUM is now using the QRONITON contact tracing system. You can only participate in courses or use the learning rooms if you register in advance and then check in on-site with QRONITON and a QR code. Further information about QRONITON: registration, use, data protection.

Digital Learning Commitment

In the winter semester 2020/21, many courses will be held virtually. As a university, we see ourselves as a place of exchange of knowledge in which all members of the TUM community can participate. In our Digital Learning Commitment (PDF, 77KB), we have defined some basic principles to make communication and learning in the digital space as fair, productive, and enjoyable as possible.
