New leadership for the TUM Compliance Office

Prof. Christian Peschel becomes Vice President for Compliance

Physician Prof. Christian Peschel is the new Vice President for Compliance at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

The Vice Presidency for Compliance represents TUM’s university culture, which is formulated in the Codes of Conduct, the TUM Respect Guide, and the statutes for ensuring good scientific practice. It is responsible for the integrity and transparency of TUM and is an essential component of TUM’s Good Governance.

The Vice President is supported by the TUM Compliance Office (TUM CO), to which potential violations of the formulated values can be reported. The TUM CO conducts independent and neutral investigations.

Prof. Christian Peschel is TUM Emeritus of Excellence and was Full Professor of Hematology and Internal Oncology until 2017. From 2006 to 2007, he was Dean of the former Faculty of Medicine. Prof. Peschel has held the office of Ombudsperson Respect since 2023.
