Event location
Münchner Kammerspiele
Target audience
students,
researcher,
TUM members
This new offer from our Center for Culture and the Arts allows members of our university to enjoy theatre evenings together. With student tickets for 5 euros and an exclusive side programme. We start with the play "Liebe (Amour)" (German with English surtitles) which is about one of the great controversies of our time: euthanasia. Through "Liebe (Amour)" Karin Henkel finds new images for a deeply moving subject.
The side program for TUM students and staff consists of an introduction and a follow-up discussion with the production's dramaturge, Tobias Schuster. The introduction starts at 7 pm, meeting point is at the theatre gate (Falckenbergstr. 2), the play itself starts at 8 pm.
Schuster offers insights into the production and subject matter of "Liebe (Amour)": "The people we have invited to collaborate on this special project are all people who have already been confronted with the question of self-determined dying in their biographies, either themselves or with regard to close relatives. Their deeply touching stories flow into this theater evening, which asks in poetic images for a self-determined handling of illness and death."
Art meets Technology
The Münchner Kammerspiele open their doors and would like to connect with TUM students together with the TUM CCA: During the 2023/24 season, we are inviting students to six theatre performances at the Schauspielhaus with an exclusive supporting programm for the discounted price of 5 Euros per night. Employees of TUM are very welcome to join the supporting programm as well! All performances have English surtitles.
The diverse offerings of the TUM Center for Culture and Arts create new perspectives by combining science with art and culture.
