Student initiative takes over operation on a limited basis

Gastronomy at Vorhoelzer Forum accessible again internally at TUM

The gastronomy at the Vorhoelzer Forum on the roof of the main building of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), which has been officially closed since the end of 2021, will be open again on a limited basis in July 2023. In general, only TUM students and employees will have access there.

The temporary opening as part of a pilot project is the result of an initiative by students, who are also responsible for the organization. They offer non-alcoholic drinks and snacks in the café and in the southern area of the roof terrace.

ID checks are possible to ensure that only authorized persons gain access. TUM members are allowed to bring a few guests at a time.

Opening hours are variable and can be found daily on this website.

No decision has yet been made about the long-term use of the Vorhoelzer Forum gastronomy premises.

The Vorhoelzer Forum is a meeting space of the TUM School of Engineering and Design.
