The Kunsthalle München presents the largest solo exhibition of Miguel Chevalier ever shown in Europe. TUM Center for Culture and Arts is collaborating with Kunsthalle to present a series of accompanying lectures.

Since the 1980s, Miguel Chevalier has been using cutting-edge digital technologies as a means of artistic expression — today, this also includes artificial intelligence. At the heart of his work lies the interplay between artist and machine, as well as between system and chance, serving as an extension of individual creativity. Inspired by artists such as Marcel Duchamp, Jean Tinguely, Victor Vasarely, and Vera Molnár, Chevalier merges technology with artistic vision and actively engages the audience. In her lecture, curator Franziska Stöhr offers insights into Chevalier’s oeuvre and its art-historical grounding — with a focus on authorship, chance, and interaction.

Admission: € 5 / € 3, tickets will be available soon at the Kunsthalle website.

As part of the cooperation, a limited number of free tickets is available exclusively for TUM studentsRegistration is required for this offer.

Please note: The lecture will take place in the Garden Salon of the Kunsthalle Munich and will be held in German.
