The Diversity film series shows international films in their original language with German or English subtitles. Afterwards, there is the opportunity for discussion and conversation with filmmakers and participants from the respective countries and cultures.

"The Making of a Japanese" follows pupils in the first and sixth grades of a Japanese elementary school for a year. Discipline, a sense of community and good manners are highly valued here alongside the traditional curriculum. An exciting look at the interplay between individualism and respect in everyday life. Between math problems and disaster drills in the event of an earthquake, larger socio-political themes emerge in the daily school routine.

The film series is presented by the TUM Language Center and the Munich University of Television and Film.
