WARR Rocketry Kick-Off
Event location
StudiTUM House Garching
Target audience
students
WARR, one of TUM’s longest-running student initiatives, develops rockets, satellites, robotic space systems, and experiments in microgravity. Trainings and mentoring support students in real space projects – perfect for everyone reaching for the stars.
WARR Rocketry started as the first branch of WARR back in 1960. From a humble student group of less than 10 students, they have grown massively over the years to now more than 150 active members from all backgrounds – from Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering to Economics and Business majors. The team consists of students in all Bachelor’s and Master’s semesters working alongside each other.
At WARR Rocketry, they develop, construct and launch advanced sounding rockets. From the engine and structure to the aerodynamic elements and the flight computer, the students design the majority of the components themselves. Leveraging years of expertise, WARR Rocketry succeeds at producing and testing rockets with precision and innovation. Explore the heights with us as we redefine the frontiers of rocketry!
