Instructors

A very important part of our team are the instructors from the various chairs. They are TUM students (Bachelor, Master), doctoral candidates, but also university employees with the relevant expertise. Through their commitment, they enable the successful realisation of the individual projects at the partner schools. Each project is supervised and continuously developed by several experts. The ExploreTUM team offers regular training to fulfil the requirements of a role model. The necessary skills are also acquired to be able to realise workshops in an age-appropriate and activating way. The teams are reorganised on an interdisciplinary basis for each school trip, as there are always different project constellations on site.

What is particularly pleasing in this context is the mutual networking and lively exchange of ideas, which ultimately also benefits cooperation within the university.

Planning & Organisation

The ExploreTUM team is responsible for the entire planning and successful implementation of the MINT-Impulse at the respective partner schools. This includes organisational tasks, the continuous updating of the numerous experimental kits, reporting to the third-party funder, evaluation, communication and the continuous further development of the programme. The subsequent follow-up offers (e.g. Schneefernerhaus excursion, Kryptonacht, etc.) are also designed and realised by this team.

I really appreciate the opportunity to socialise with students and academic staff from other disciplines and to discuss various topics over dinner.

Speaker for the project "Sensors in medicine"

My first school trip was a really great experience for me and I was very pleased that I could finally be there! I was totally impressed by the atmosphere and the projects.

Research assistant at the Teaching and Research Unit for Communications Engineering, Chair of Wired Transmission Technology

I take part in the MINT-Impulse project because, as a mechanical engineering student, I know that girls can also achieve great things in technical subjects. I am enthusiastic about encouraging young women to follow their path in the natural sciences and discover their own strengths in the process.
