If you use one of the color modes, the TUM website and its elements will be displayed in either dark or light.

The settings are stored on your computer and not transferred to the server.

Service stations in Garching:

Help in case of a flat tire

Many TUM students commute to Research Campus Garching by bike. In case of a flat tire, pushing your bike all the way home can be quite a strain – but that’s over! TUM will establish bicycle maintenance stations at all the campuses.

There, you’ll find everything you need to fit a new tube, to pump up the tires, or to oil the chain.

Campus Garching will start off with three of these stations: one between the “Exzellenzzentrum” and the new “StudiTUM” house, one in front of the Physics department, and one at the sports complex behind the interim lecture hall for Mathematics. There, you will also find a vending machine for spare parts (i.e. tubes, locks, light bulbs, chains, and tools) that is provided by a bike shop in Garching.

The idea for the service stations was submitted by the TUM’s real estate management department, supported by the Junge Akademie, where the TUMbikesharing team had assessed the cycling infrastructure at TUM as part of a project.

Soon, service stations will also be installed at Main Campus and at Campus Weihenstephan.
