Courses of the University Library (for students)

In the winter semester, the University Library will again be offering many courses focusing on literature research and other topics. Let us show you how to quickly and effectively find the literature you need for your studies and your thesis.

In addition, you can learn how to cite correctly, to avoid plagiarism, and to manage your literature in a crisis-proof manner by using a literature management program.

You can take part in the courses from home or from anywhere else, as all our courses are offered as webinars or as classroom courses in the facilities of the University Library.

  • Search for subject-specific books and journals in the online catalog
  • Online research with Google and Google Scholar
  • Successful use of the services of the University Library

Information Literacy 2

  • Develop search strategies for literature databases
  • Search for subject-specific papers in literature databases
  • Access researched material
  • Cite it Right
  • Basics regarding correct citing – and other topics of your choice (i.e. citing of DIN standards, charts, and images)
  • Reference Management with Citavi & EndNote
  • Introductory and advanced courses concerning the two reference management tools
