Open Day at TUM

Thinking outside the box

This year, all of TUM’s 14 faculties will be taking part in the Open Day on Saturday, October 13, 2018. To celebrate the 150th anniversary, eight locations will open their doors.

You are invited to explore the world of TUM – with experiments, guided tours, presentations, and lectures – from 11 am to 6 pm.

The Open Day is a great opportunity to get an impression of the bigger picture and take a look at facilities you have never visited before: 14 faculties, 8 locations – the Open Day has a lot to offer.

Participation experiments, exhibits, and guided tours

The premises in Munich, Garching, Freising, and Straubing will be part of this year’s event. Further, interested visitors will also be able to stop by at the Oskar von Miller Institute in Obernach (above the Walchensee, directly on the B11), the Limnological Station Iffeldorf (near Penzberg), and the Geodetic Observatory Wettzell (near Bad Kötzting).

In addition, there will be many participation experiments and exhibits, as well as exciting tours to the laboratories – allowing you to get an impression of the research work at TUM, some of which is truly unique.
You don’t have to come alone: why not bring friends and relatives? As of September, we will provide flyers which you can use to invite people from your circle of friends and acquaintances. Come along and join in!
