Join us for an exciting presentation on topics related to space, flight and Nicola Winter’s personal career path to becoming an astronaut. A former Bundeswehr fighter pilot, aerospace engineer and specialist for leadership and crisis management, Nicola Winter was one of a few German pilots to fly the Eurofighter and trained other young pilots in the USA. After her full-time job in the military, she became a paramedic and was also a management consultant. Today, she is pursuing a PhD in space science, is a keynote speaker and a consultant for crisis teams and companies.
Nicola Winter has also been an ESA reserve astronaut since 2022 and could become the first German astronaut in space. Her credo: "With courage, empathy, discipline, passion and a bit of luck, we can make it anywhere – even to the moon.”
EUROAVIA is a non-profit student association which promotes contacts among students and between students and the industry on a local and international level. Their network has grown to 39 local groups in 19 countries and unites over 2000 members in their passion for aerospace engineering, international networking and cultural exchange.
