Symposium "Weight Loss and Skeletal Muscle"

How does weight loss affect the skeletal muscles? With the recent approval of new drugs for the treatment of obesity, this question is now more relevant than ever. GLP-1 receptor agonists such as Wegovy or Ozempic often also lead to a loss of lean mass, especially muscle mass. In this scientific symposium, experts from TUM, Ludwig Maximilian University and Helmholtz Munich will present current research findings and discuss new approaches to solutions.
