TUM Summer Matinee: Free Tickets for students

Do you like Beethoven and want to see the Isarphilharmonie? Due to the pandemic, the traditional TUM Advent Matinee had to be cancelled last year. Now, as an exception, the concerts will take place in summer, on July 17, 2022. The overture to the opera Fidelio, the Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major, op. 58 and the Symphony No. 5 in C minor, op. 67 will be performed. Students can secure free tickets for the matinee at 11 a.m., they will be awarded by lottery. Registration via www.tum.de/sommerkonzerte. Registrations will be collected until June 14, 2022, when the draw will take place.

35 years of Erasmus+: Simulation workshop on EU educational policy

2022 marks the 35th anniversary of the popular Erasmus+ exchange program. The International Campus Life team of the TUM Global & Alumni Office invites you to a simulation workshop on June 18, 2022. Participants gain insight into European agenda setting in the field of higher education policy and get to know the framework for action at the European level in an interactive exchange. Registration deadline for EuroTeQ courses extended

Through the EuroTeQ course catalogue, TUM students will have the opportunity to participate in special online courses at partner universities DTU, TU/e, L'X, Technion, TalTech and CTU as well as offerings from TUM itself in the winter semester 2022/23. Conversely, this also allows students from all EuroTeQ partners to attend selected courses at TUM. The registration deadline has been extended: TUM students can now apply via MoveON form until noon on June 20, 2022. GARNIX and TUNIX

After a two-year break, GARNIX will be back in Garching in 2022. It will take place from June 20 to 24 , 2022 at the MI forecourt, there will be a beer garden and live music. Deutschlandstipendium: Application from June 20

For more than ten years, numerous young talents across Germany have been supported by the Deutschlandstipendium. At TUM alone, more than 5,900 students have received both financial and non-material support since then. Applications are open from June 20 to July 03,  2022. A full scholarship lasts 12 months, the scholarship holders receive 300 euros per month. More info: Application Deutschlandstipendium

Harald Lesch on the energy transition

In the summer semester of 2022, the lecture series on the environment will focus on climate change. June 21, 2022, Prof. Harald Lesch and Dr. Christoph Pellinger will discuss the question "Energy transition - What does it all mean for us? The lecture series, organised by the Environmental Department of the TUM Student Union, continues until July 19. The video recordings of the lectures are open to the public. Boost your career at IKOM 2022

Great contacts for the future can be made and valuable insights into the industry can be gained at IKOM 2022. The largest career forum organised by students will take place from June 27 to 30, 2022 at the Garching campus. Numerous companies want to talk to you in the Magistrale of the Mechanical Engineering Building - TUM School of Engineering and Design. Many workshops are on offer in advance. More info: IKOM 2022

Offers for students at the TUM Global Week 2022

Find out more about your opportunities to study abroad via Erasmus+ or TUMexchange during the TUM Global Week from June 27 to July 1! The info session for exchange programs and scholarships abroad is scheduled for Monday at 4 pm. In separate Q&A sessions you can then ask individual questions about study and research opportunities as well as everyday life in China (June 28), Latin America (June 29), India (June 30), and North America (June 30). Urban Mobility Jam - InnovaCity 2022

Think, develop and realise like a start-up in three days. At this Urban Mobility Jam from June 30 to July 02, 2022, you can expect creative space and an experimental field to design prototypes for the mobility of the future together with industry partners and coaches as well as to further develop product ideas with the design thinking approach. The unique platform brings together students, companies, municipal employees, start-ups and researchers in the field of mobility. The event will be held entirely in English. Guided tours in Raitenhaslach

Why was one of the rooms named after the pope? What is the reason behind the so-called “suspended” wall? With guided tours the TUM Science and Study Center Raitenhaslach opens the doors of its historic premises. This year the following dates are offered: July 09, September 24, October 15 and November 19. The tours are held in German, start at 11 a.m. and last approx. 60 minutes (subject to change). Ideas competition Academicus: Shape your campus

More culture and sustainability on campus, digital innovations in teaching or new ideas for networking at the university: In the Academicus ideas competition, students and alumni can contribute their ideas – anything goes as long as it makes teaching and learning even better.
