From Campus to Campus – A New Car Sharing Offer

TUM is improving the accessibility of its three sites in Munich, Garching and Freising-Weihenstephan. As of now, there is a car-sharing offer for campus Munich and campus Garching. In June 2013, Freising-Weihenstephan will follow.

TUM signed a cooperation agreement with the provider DriveNow. Students and staff can use the cars spontaneously and park them at some other location. For the customers, costs only incur for individual use.

Three TUM-sites: more flexible mobility

Many students and staff are not only busy at their "regular campus", but also at other sites. The public transport connections are still not ideal, especially between Garching and Weihenstephan.

The cooperation between TUM and DriveNow allows more flexible mobility for students and staff. BMW and MINI cars will be available at the public parking lots of the three sites – to be used spontaneously or by advance reservation. The vehicles can be left at the TUM’s public parking lots, in most parts of Munich and at Munich Airport.
