Pass on your university-experience to prospective students

Would you like to show some social commitment? If so, join the mentoring program “Step Inside” and give school pupils some insight into your course of studies.

What exactly are the responsibilities of a mentor?

As a mentor, you will answer the mentee’s questions regarding the respective course of studies and about student life. In addition, you can show the mentee different institutions, for example the TUM locations, the faculty buildings, the library or the cafeteria. The aim is to help prospective students along with own experiences and personal knowledge, to provide advice and to support them on their way to become TUM-students.

When is the program scheduled for?

The first introductory workshops will take place in the second half of November. The mentoring / the meetings start after the kickoff-event on December 4, 2015 and will continue for about half a year – ideally until the end of the mentoring phase in June 2016. Of course, it is possible to stay in contact after the “Step Inside”-program, if both sides wish to.

What information is needed?

To apply, please send us a filled in application form and a photo. For a successful matching, we need you to answer questions about your motivation and to provide some further information, for example about your personal interests. This aspect is covered by the application form, so it is not necessary to submit a separate application or a letter of motivation.

Apply (online) until October 1, 2015!

The next round will start in November 2015. Simply fill out the online application form by October 1, 2015, and send it to exploretumspam prevention@tum.de together with a photo.
