Rollout of the new Corporate Design

Clear, forward-looking, barrier-free

The Technical University of Munich (TUM) in its revised design. Over the next few weeks, our print and online products are being adjusted to the new corporate design. Four years ago, a new technology was introduced on our websites: the responsive design. Since then, further innovations have been brought online. Today, we present our new corporate design.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT?

Starting today, all sites of TUM are successively converted to responsive design. This means that all websites offered become optimized for mobile devices – with their functionality and their contents put in the foreground. We are saying goodbye to colorful boxes and lots of pictures in the interest of being more clear and thus more accessible across a range of media and digital devices.

HOW DOES THE CHANGEOVER TAKE PLACE?

Starting today, all sites of TUM are successively converted to responsive design. This means that all our websites become optimized for mobile use – with functionality and contents put in the foreground. We say goodbye to colorful boxes and to a lot of pictures. This makes them easier to access from even more digital places and across different media channels.

HOW DOES THE CHANGEOVER TAKE PLACE?

The change is happening right now on the "big" systems www.tum.de and portal.mytum.de, and on some smaller websites. We are currently testing and will adjust any errors that occur. Details of the exact rollout process, as well as the new templates and "style guide", will be communicated to university staff in the coming days.
