The visiTUM program:

Help future students make a decision

In your first semester, were you surprised about what it’s like at university? Unintended surprises occur – and they can lead to great disappointments or to a change of course of study. For this reason, TUM initiated the program “visiTUM – students explain their course of studies”.

As a TUM student, the program offers you the opportunity to give prospective students a realistic impression of student life, helping them to feel more sure about the beginning of their studies. At the same time, you can help them choose the right course of studies.

How visiTUM works:

Within the framework of a short lecture, you will inform groups of school pupils about your own course of study – and a TUM employee of “Studienberatung und Schulprogramme” will provide general information about studying at TUM. The groups either pay a visit to TUM, or visiTUM visits the schools.

You can talk about anything you might, based on your own experience, think is important: How you chose your course of study, what student life in Munich is like, what skills you need for your course of study, the balance between workload and leisure time, the special features of your course of study, the professional or personal perspectives after finishing your studies…

Introductory workshop

In order to prepare you for the lectures, there will be an obligatory workshop. The next date is Tuesday, October 10, 2017 (from 1:30 pm to 5 pm).

Application: Please apply online until September 20, 2017 (application deadline):
