Sustainability competition for young researchers

Application for EuroTech Future Award launched

Young researchers from all six EuroTech partner universities can apply again for the "EuroTech Future Award" sustainability prize. The call for applications is aimed at scientists who completed their doctorate at most five years ago. Their research must address one or more UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The application deadline at www.future-award.eu is 29 February 2024. An essential aspect in the evaluation of the competition entries is the ability of the submitters to make their research understandable to a lay audience. In addition, initial (interim) scientific results must already be available. Joint projects by researchers from different EuroTech member universities receive a bonus.

The award is endowed with 2000 euros for first place, 1000 euros for second place, and 500 euros for third place. The selection is made by a jury of the Vice Presidents for Research of the member universities. The winners will be invited to an international award ceremony in Brussels, where they can present their research to the public.
