Research on nutrition technologies

Mark Post developed the first cultured burger from stem cells in the laboratory ten years ago. In recent years, research in this field has developed considerably. Since 2022, Marius Henkel, head of one of the world's first professorships for Cellular Agriculture, has been conducting research at the Weihenstephan Campus with an international focus on alternative, future-oriented nutrition technologies. With this professorship, TUM is strengthening its ambitions to be an international leader in researching new perspectives for the development of resource-conserving food production.

The lecture marks the start of the "Life Science Engineering Seminar Series" with outstanding personalities at the interface of life sciences and engineering.
