Reminder: Going abroad with Erasmus+

From December 1, 2023 to January 15, 2024, you can apply for an Erasmus+ exchange place in the 2024/25 academic year. You will receive financial support for your stay abroad and pay no tuition fees at the partner university. Academic achievements abroad can be recognised in consultation with your school. International Campus Life: EU-Simulation „Zero Waste“

One of the highlights of the International Campus Life team's winter programme is the EU simulation "Zero Waste" on November 18, 2023 in cooperation with the Centre for Applied Policy Research. All participants can experience EU decision-making processes at first hand, explore the scope for negotiation and understand structures at European level. Details and registration in the TUMi app.

The "TUM Speakers Series - Leaders and Shapers" regularly brings high-calibre speakers to Arcisstraße. The guest lecture series is organised by student volunteers from various departments. The next guests in the Audimax at the main campus at Arcisstraße 21 will be Christian Klein, CEO of SAP, on November 21, 2023 and Joe Kaeser, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Siemens Energy, on November 28, 2023, both starting at 6.30 pm. Reminder: Register now for EuroTeQ courses

Don't miss the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills: the registration deadline for EuroTeQ's diverse range of online courses on topics such as Financial Modelling, New Food Product Development, Project Management, Architecture and Philosophy and many more is approaching. TUM IDEAward ceremony & event

Ten start-up teams will present their exciting and innovative ideas and/or technologies in the foyer of the Audimax on November 30, 2023. They were pre-selected from the submissions for the TUM IDEAward by a jury of experts and have made it to the final round of ten finalists. The three most promising start-up ideas will be honoured and a total of 37,500 euros in prize money will be awarded. This will be followed by a networking session. Physical live event, starting at 6.00 pm. Free tickets via TUM IDEAward 2023.

Get to know small and medium-sized enterprises

Gain practical insights into the world of small and medium-sized enterprises: From January 8 to 12, 2024, the new "1000+" programme at the TUM School of School of Computation, Information and Technology will allow students to get to know operational processes and work on solving a real operational problem. This is followed by a project week with a presentation of the results. Application until November 30, 2023: 1000+ Project Week 2024

Dies Academicus 2023: The "Global South" takes centre stage

This year's keynote speaker at the annual academic celebration is Prof Rita Akosua Dickson, Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Together with staff, students, alumni, friends and partners of TUM, President Prof Thomas F. Hofmann looks back on the year and gives an outlook on how the university will continue to pursue its successful course in the coming years. TUM Global Dialogue Series 2023

Online speaker series of all international liaison offices of TUM, the TUM Global Network: All students who would like to participate in the dialogue between TUM scientists and their international partners as well as social actors worldwide are cordially invited. The canteen as a learning space

You can now use the canteens in Munich and Garching as study rooms. From Monday to Friday, 2pm to 7pm, over 2,000 new learning and workstations are available for students. More information on these and other study rooms: Canteens as study areas

Offer for first semester students: The electronic learning coach

The ProLehre learning skills support team uses Moodle to provide first-semester students in particular with helpful tips for a good start to their studies and efficient learning. Enrol yourself in the electronic learning coach and find out what is important when studying at university and how you can plan your semester effectively. The TUM Alumni & Career Service offers more than 80 career events and numerous services in German and English in the winter semester. The programme is aimed at all TUM students, doctoral candidates and alumni.
