At the Garching research campus, visitors were invited to experience science in lectures, hands-on activities, guided tours and much more. Whether young or old, there were numerous activities for every one on this day: students, staff and external guests. Second Europe event at the Heilbronn Campus

Lectures, workshops, discussions: Europe at a Turning Point

  • Wednesday, 5/21/2025 – Friday, 5/23/2025

Event location
Heilbronn

Public event

The war in Ukraine continues, the new US government questions the Western value system, populist politicians threaten democracy – there is no doubt that Europe is at a turning point. What values hold this diverse community together? What common narratives inspire people and allow them to work together to find European solutions to the enormous challenges of our time?

These questions will be addressed at the second Europe event, entitled “Europe at a Turning Point”, which will take place from May 21 to 23 at the TUM Campus Heilbronn. The public part of the event will feature a diverse program of scientific lectures, a Europe speech and a podium discussion on the European idea. Students can also take part in a workshop in which they develop visions for the future of our continent together and present them at the public podium discussion. In addition, they can visit Strasbourg on May 22 as part of an educational trip to talk to members of the Council of Europe and learn from them how political processes are created.

The event will be held in English.

Register by April 30!
